TINY TALK TIME: Billy’s Beetle – WYCOMBE MUSEUM: 24 March 2018

Mideous Masks at The Roald Dahl Museum: 24 March 2018

Learn about the buzzwangling beasts that Roald Dahl wrote about before making your own beastly mask to take home.

Date and time: 24 March  11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm

Cost: £3 per participant. Adults are welcome to pay to make their own. Price does not include Museum entry which you will also need to book to take part in the workshop.

Age: suitable for 4+ years. Under 8s will need to be accompanied by an adult (no more than two non-participating adults will be allowed in the room per group). Participating children aged 2 to 4 years will still need to pay.

Location: The Roald Dahl Museum, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire

Mixed Crafts

Two Sessions:

Explore a range of materials and techniques and develop your own ideas with help from our fantastic tutors.

Kids Hour: Sphero Maze Challenge

Kids Hour is designed to spark imagination and creativity through fun, hands-on projects. Kids will explore coding with Sphero robots by programming simple movements, loops and more. Then they’ll design a maze and navigate their robot through the obstacles. Kids can take their own iPad and Sphero Sprk+ robot, or there will be one provide. Recommended for ages 6 to 12

Date and time: Saturday 24 March between 10am – 11am


Kids Hour: Creating Music with GarageBand

This Kids Hour celebrates music by teaching kids how to create exciting tunes and beats using GarageBand on iPad. First they will cover rhythm basics, and kids will get hands-on with creating their own drum beats. Then they will show them how to use Live Loops to make their very own Rock, Hip Hop or EDM track. Kids can bring their iPad or we’ll provide one. Recommended for ages 6 to 12.

Date and time: Saturday 24 March between 4:30pm – 5:30pm 


Kids Hour: Making Movies Together

This Kids Hour is dedicated to exploring creativity through movie making for both kids and parents. They’ll start with brainstorming ideas. Then kids will practice basic camera techniques and shoot footage using iPad Pro. They’ll finish by creating a professional movie trailer with iMovie. Kids can bring their own iPad or they will be provided with one. Recommended for ages 6 to 12.

Date and time:  Sunday 18 March 11am – 12pm

19 March – 15 April 2018

Hop along to your local Wyevale Garden Centre and meet the Easter Bunny! Tuck in to a delicious meal, and enjoy a bunny hunt and chocolate treats. Children will receive a cuddly toy and an activity sheet, afterwards they’ll get to decorate their own Easter cookie. Costs £10.95 per child and is suitable for children 3 – 8 years.

Participating garden centres in and around Buckinghamshire: Marlow, Bicester Avenue, Woburn Sands and World’s End Wendover.

Yarn Bombing at Henley River & Rowing Museum: 24 & 25 March 2018

Enjoy these incredible colourful creations as the museum is hit by a wave of yarn bombing! Thames Path Together crafting group have created an astounding variety of crochet and knitted designs, weaving, needlework, and collage. On show you’ll be able to see textile paintings, rowers, boats, ducks and a giant Mr Toad!

Highway Rat Activity Trail at Wendover Woods: 24 & 25 March 2018

The Highway Rat is the latest Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler book to be brought to life at Wendover Woods.

Follow the panels, complete activities and interact with the forest as you head on a journey with The Highway Rat and all the characters from the story!

Aylesbury Junior Park Run is a 2k run for juniors only (4-14 year olds) event that is held every Sunday at 9am.
