Game of Clues: Murder Mystery Trail at Cliveden

Sunday 20 May 2018, 10.30am – 3.30pm

A new year, a new victim, a new killer. Following last year’s crime caper, we’ve created a brand new outdoor mystery for you and your family to solve. The year is 1853 and, whilst the Sutherland’s are away visiting their London abode, Cliveden’s head butler has turned up dead on the estate. Mr Butter, a rather unsavory character, was discovered fallen off his chair and smelling of whiskey; but how did he get there…?

CHUF Fest 2018, Aylesbury

Saturday 19 May 2018, 3.00 – 6.00pm

Bring the family to Chearsley Village Hall in Aylesbury this Saturday for CHUF (Chearsley & Haddenham Under 5s Pre-School) Fest, and help celebrate 50 years of CHUF Pre-School. There will be loads going on for everyone to enjoy, including; games, talent workshops, music and dance performances, prince and princess costumes and face painting for the special royal day, plus fun with Musical Mayhem. There will also be food vans, refreshments and a licensed bar showing the FA Cup Final.

Heron’s Lodge May Fete, Milton Keynes

Sunday 20 May 2018, midday – 4.00pm

Bring the kiddies to Heron’s Lodge this Sunday for their May Fete, running from midday until 4.00pm. This will be an outdoor fete will stalls and attractions for all the family to enjoy. There will also be a children’s Fun Zone inside, go-karts, a bouncy castle, face painting, ice cream van, raffle and tombola, mini funfair and more. There will be refreshments available to buy including Pimms, mocktails and afternoon tea!

Family Fun Day, Caldecotte Xperience Outdoor Centre, Milton Keynes

Sunday 20 May 2018, 11.00am – 4.00pm

VICTA, BucksVision and Sight Concern Bedfordshire are once again holding a joint family day to bring local families in the Milton Keynes/Buckinghamshire area together to enjoy a day of fun. BucksVision are a registered charity based in Aylesbury who support blind and partially sighted people living in the county of Buckinghamshire. Sight Concern Bedfordshire are an independent, local, sight-loss charity providing information, advice and practical support for blind and partially sighted people in Bedfordshire and Luton. We had a lot of fun last year and are excited to be joining up again in 2018.

There will be lots to do throughout the day to keep the family happy! We will have arts and crafts, a bouncy castle plus the opportunity to try some of the outdoor activities available at the Caldecotte Xperience, such as zorbing, archery and rock climbing. Hungry stomachs will be satisfied with a family BBQ and plenty of tea and cake!

RAF Halton Freedom Parade, Aylesbury

Sunday 20 May 2018, 1.30 – 3.00pm

On Sunday 20th May, this prestigious, historic and spectacular parade will once again honour the streets of Aylesbury. You are invited to watch the servicemen and women of RAF Halton carry Her Majesty The Queen’s Colour for RAF Halton, troops will be led by the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment.

The parade will start at the bottom of the High Street at 1:40pm, continuing into Market Square, where the troops will formally present to the Station Commander and The Mayor of Aylesbury, outside the steps of the old Crown Court. A Dakota of the Battle of Britain Memorial flight will conduct a flypast at 2:00pm. This weekend will be a very special weekend, with the Royal Wedding the previous day, so please do join us for a unique and fascinating experience – expect to see crisp uniforms, shiny boots, precise marching and to hear lots of commands made in a very loud and empowering voice.

Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally, Aylesbury

Sunday 20 May 2018, 10.00am – 5.00pm

If you have a car enthusiast at home and are looking for something to do this weekend with the kiddies in Aylesbury then the Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally could be just the ticket. This year it takes place on Sunday 20 May from 10.00am – 5.00pm. Over a thousand vehicles attend every year, including classic cars, vans, buses, lorries, motorbikes, scooters, and tractors. There will also be children’s rides, food & refreshments and a fun dog show. Pubic entry is £6.00 with children going free, there’s also free parking.

Kids Hour – Creating Music with GarageBand

The Kids Hour celebrates music by teaching kids how to create exciting tunes and beats using GarageBand on iPad. First we’ll cover rhythm basics, and kids will get hands-on with creating their own drum beats. Then we’ll show them how to use Live Loops to make their very own Rock, Hip Hop, or EDM track. Kids can bring their own iPad, or we’ll provide one. Recommended for ages 6 – 12 years.

Kids Hour – Sphero Maze Challenge

Kids Hour is designed to spark imagination and creativity through fun, hands-on projects. Kids will explore coding with Sphero robots by programming simple movements, loops and more. Then they’ll design a maze and navigate their robot through the obstacles. Kids can bring their own iPad and Sphero Sprk+ robot, or we’ll provide them. Recommended for ages 6 – 12 years.

Beautiful Bluebells are in abundance across Bucks, and we’ve pulled together a list of some of the best places to go for a walk with the kiddies and see these stunning flowers at their best. Always check with the venue before travelling to ensure the bluebells are still out!

Let’s Rock The Moor, Cookham, Berkshire

Let’s Rock The Moor will take place in Cookham, Berkshire, for an incredible 10th time on Saturday 19 May 2018. There are still tickets remaining for this family-friendly retro festival, but snap them up quickly here now. This year there’s a fantastic line up including; Adam Ant, Billy Ocean, Tony Hadley, Nick Heyward, Midge Ure, and loads more. As well as great live entertainment you’ll also find a dedicated children’s area, new for 2018 is Kids’ Kingdom is bigger and better than before. There will be loads of free stuff to keep kids entertained, with circus workshops, face painting, crafts, tricycles, local favourite Dave the Disco, and more.

Annual Duck Derby and Family Fun Day, Maidenhead, Berkshire

Sunday 20 May 2018, 1.00 – 4.30pm

The annual Duck Derby & Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 20 May at Ray Mill Island in Maidenhead.

Festivities will kick off at 1.00pm, and you can expect fun for all the family. There’s free admission to the Island and fun day with entertainment running until 4.30pm. The following will be included:

  • Lions fun train
