Spring Fayre, Haddenham: 17 March 2018

A fun day for all the family is taking place at St Mary’s School in Haddenham this Saturday.

Activities include Face Painting, Pony Rides, A Treasure Hunt, Splat the Rat and much more.

Location: St Mary’s CE School, Aston Road, Haddenham, Bucks. HP17 8AF

MUM2MUM MARKET NEARLY NEW SALE, Newport Pagnell: 17 March

Mum2mum markets are where mums sell to other mums, so if you have outgrown items to sell or you would like to buy preloved top quality children’s goods at a great price this is the place to come.

A Beginners Guide to Stargazing – Wycombe Museum: 17 March

A Beginners Guide to Stargazing is a  family friendly evening starting with a talk from Dr Sandy Giles from Wycombe Astronomical Society on how to get to know the night sky and finding your way around it using known stars and constellations. This will be followed by some time spent looking at the stars through telescopes from the museum grounds with local Wycombe Astro experts.

Your ticket will include a Wycombe museum soft drink, beer or alcoholic hot chocolate (for the grown ups) and a vegetarian or meat lasagna and salad.

The museum will open for visitors to look around from 6pm. Make sure you layer up as some of the event will be outside.

Mixed Crafts

Kids Hour: Sphero Maze Challenge

Kids Hour is designed to spark imagination and creativity through fun, hands-on projects. Kids will explore coding with Sphero robots by programming simple movements, loops and more. Then they’ll design a maze and navigate their robot through the obstacles. Kids can take their own iPad and Sphero Sprk+ robot, or there will be one provide. Recommended for ages 6 to 12

Kids Hour: Creating Music with GarageBand

This Kids Hour celebrates music by teaching kids how to create exciting tunes and beats using GarageBand on iPad. First they will cover rhythm basics, and kids will get hands-on with creating their own drum beats. Then they will show them how to use Live Loops to make their very own Rock, Hip Hop or EDM track. Kids can bring their iPad or we’ll provide one. Recommended for ages 6 to 12.

Date and time: Saturday 17 March between 4:30pm – 5:30pm 

 

Kids Hour: Making Movies Together

This Kids Hour is dedicated to exploring creativity through movie making for both kids and parents. They’ll start with brainstorming ideas. Then kids will practice basic camera techniques and shoot footage using iPad Pro. They’ll finish by creating a professional movie trailer with iMovie. Kids can bring their own iPad or they will be provided with one. Recommended for ages 6 to 12.

Yarn Bombing at Henley River & Rowing Museum: 17 & 18 March 2018

Enjoy these incredible colourful creations as the museum is hit by a wave of yarn bombing! Thames Path Together crafting group have created an astounding variety of crochet and knitted designs, weaving, needlework, and collage. On show you’ll be able to see textile paintings, rowers, boats, ducks and a giant Mr Toad!

Boggled Box Beasts at The Roald Dahl Museum: 18 March 2018

Roald Dahl loved to write about all sorts of beasts.  In our junk modelling session, you will make your own crodswolloping creature, adding different patterns and textures for amazing effects!
