The Jungle Book, Wycombe Swan: 24 February 2018

An exciting new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s family classic, The Jungle Book, comes to life in this colourful new show brought to you by the team behind Goodnight Mister Tom and Michael Morpurgo’s Running Wild. Loved as a wild and fun tale of family, belonging and identity, this production is packed with memorable characters, new songs and brilliant storytelling.

Tiny Talk with Elmer at Wycombe Museum: 24 February 2018

Head along to Wycombe Museum for stories, crafts and museum fun in this special time for 2 – 5 year olds.

Mixed Crafts

Kids Hour: Sphero Maze Challenge

Kids Hour is designed to spark imagination and creativity through fun, hands-on projects. Kids will explore coding with Sphero robots by programming simple movements, loops and more. Then they’ll design a maze and navigate their robot through the obstacles. Kids can take their own iPad and Sphero Sprk+ robot, or there will be one provide. Recommended for ages 6 to 12

Date and time: Saturday 24 February between 9:30am – 10:30am 


Kids Hour: Creating Music with GarageBand

This Kids Hour celebrates music by teaching kids how to create exciting tunes and beats using GarageBand on iPad. First they’ll cover rhythm basics, and kids will get hands-on with creating their own drum beats. Then they will be showed how to use Live Loops to make their very own Rock, Hip Hop or EDM track. Kids can bring their iPad or there will be one provided. Recommended for ages 6 to 12.

Date and time: Saturday 24 February between 4:30pm – 5:30pm 


Kids Hour: Book Club

In this Kids Hour, they’ll be reading The Further Tale Of Peter Rabbit on iBooks. Celebrate the magic of storytelling through creativity and play. Kids will get hands-on with drawing characters and scenes, creating their own book cover, and more using iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. They can bring their iPad or one will be provided. Recommended for ages 4-10.

Events at The Roald Dahl Museum: 24 & 25 February 2018

Rhythm, Rap and Rhyme with Neal Zetter

Comedy poet, children’s author and entertainer, Neal Zetter, performs his hilarious poems and helps you to write a short fun poem too. Look out for the porcupines and sharks!

Date and times: 24 February, 1pm and 3pm

Cost:  £3 per person, adults and children. (plus museum entry)

Age: suitable for 4+ years. Under 14s will need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Muggled Up Beasts

Make giant-sized beast body parts that we’ll assemble into a huge mix-n-match beast generator. Take a photo with your favourite buzzwangling beast at the end of the workshop!

Date and times:  Sunday 25th February 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm

Cost: £3 per participant. (plus museum entry)

Age: suitable for 4+ years.

Women of Stowe Trail24 – 25 February 2018

From a warrior knight to an all-powerful goddess, pick up a guide and discover the hidden stories of women at Stowe.

Grab your coat and boots and head to Stowe and take part in this self led trail, which is available from the New Inn welcome centre and will run throughout the whole of the February half term.

This is a family friendly activity, children welcome. Dogs on leads are welcome.

Snowdrop Walk, Cliveden National Trust

If you fancy getting out and about this weekend with the little ones, why not head over to Cliveden National Trust for their self-led snow drop walk. Follow the snowdrops around the estate, the best clusters are expected at Blenheim Lawn, Stable Bank and Ilex Grove. Pick up your trail sheet from the information centre. This trail is free of charge (normal admission to Cliveden applies, free entry with National Trust membership).

Highway Rat Activity Trail at Wendover Woods: 24 & 25 February 2018

The Highway Rat is the latest Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler book to be brought to life at Wendover Woods.

Follow the panels, complete activities and interact with the forest as you head on a journey with The Highway Rat and all the characters from the story!

Aylesbury Junior Park Run is a 2k run for juniors only (4-14 year olds) event that is held every Sunday at 9am.
